Spice sommelier Lars Hoffmann reveals kitchen tricks

Lars Hoffmann successfully passed his examination as a spice sommelier at the Competence Centrefor Nutrition (Kern) in the Bavarian town of Kulmbach at the beginning of 2016. Since then, he has passed on his knowledge, including his expertise in the kitchen, to our guests through spice tasting events.

Programme

  • Welcome with a glass of sparkling wine and homemade spiced syrup
  • Presentation and discussion about the individual spices:
    • Description
    • Handling
    • Use
    • Examples
  • Creation of own spice blends for home use
  • Small catering with bread, spreads, pastries, non-alcoholic beverages and coffee/tea
